The issues people disliked most often included a loud motor, large watches not fitting under the glass, and a cheap looking wood veneer box... let me assure you that this box is not only silent while running, the domed lid ensures that every watch, no matter how big (we put in a David Mink and a Rolex Presidential) will fit without worry that it will hit the glass while rotating. The burled wood box was simply lovely, and the watch pillows looked luxurious (not like the velvet covered metal things some of the other watch boxes come with). All in all, I could not have asked for a better watch box -- at this price, or any other!

(More customer reviews)I knew I was taking a chance purchasing this after reading one review.But the manufacturer (Tech Swiss) had a good reputation.I researched the correct way to wind my watch (Sturhling) and set the winder as directed.After two weeks of use, this winder consistently failed me.Also, the AC Adapter was missing upon delivery.I will give credit, however, to the distributor as they promptly provided me with a RMA# with no questions asked.

Update:The distributor gave me a partial credit for the winder.They said if I return the Adapter I will get full credit.I notified them that there was no AC Adapter in the box.They took my word for it and issued a full credit. It is too bad it didn't work for me as it is very nice looking.The two stars are for the company customer service not the item.

(More customer reviews)This automatic watch winder is beautiful, comes with 4 watch pillows: 2 smaller ones and 2 bigger ones although the big ones were fine for my women's watches.The item arrived promptly, about 10 days before I expected.The winder is not petite so be sure to have a place prepared for it where it will have plenty of room like your dresser or a bookcase shelf, large desk, closet shelf, etc.It's nice that you can put batteries in it in case there is no ac plug nearby. It is ultra quiet and has a blue button that tells you when it's on.(But if you like to sleep in complete darkness, you might not like the blinking blue light that shows it's on, but on standby mode).The biggest con I have found, however, is that your automatic watch must already be fully or nearly wound for the winder to keep your watch maintained in its "wound" or working mode, otherwise your watch will die even if you keep your watch winder on 24/7 with your watch(es) in it for even a couple of days. In other words, it will not wind your watch once it dies or is dead even while in the winder - you will need to shake the watch around yourself to restart it.I use to have just one automatic watch and just one previous automatic watch winder which wound one watch and I never had to worry about my watch dying if I didn't wear the watch for a few days.I'm not sure if it's because this winder is more at a flat angle than my previous one which was very slanted.Otherwise, I bought it because it is from Tech Swiss which is a name to be trusted.It is beautiful and works as needed, but be sure you check on your automatic watches (if not wearing on a regular basis), synchronize the time and/or wear your watch on a regular basis!

(More customer reviews)Very happy when I first recieved this product and it did the job for about 2 months or so.Like others said, it makes noises and it doesn't hold the watch too tight.Well after about 2 months of using this item, it started not working properly(rotating slow, not rotating for the specific times or not rotating at all) and I didn't want to fool around with sending it in for repair.Thinking I could solve the problem, I examined the internal components and the motor.The motor was the major problem, but the internal components look really cheap and it looks like a child assembled this winder.There were different screw holes on the inside like they were just guessing where to sink the screws and when it didn't work they just moved it to a different postition.Maybe I just had a bad one, but I'll never buy from this brand again. I really liked this one alot, but I ended up buying another for less than half the cost, although it may not look as sweet as this one, it's been working fine for over half a year.

(More customer reviews)Was happy with until I got a 44mm case watch. The lid is way too close and it was touching the watch edges and it ate through the metal before I realized what happened. Plus the battery life is horrible maybe a month. It looks great for a sub 200 quad winder. Lastly the watches lie too flat and wouldn't wind one of my watches. If you plan to use the ac adapter and have sub 42mm case watches this will work else don't get it.
