(More customer reviews)I have the El Premiro automatic.Had it about 5 years and wear it only occasionally.Bought it based on reputation of the brand.From day one, the winding mechanism was overly firm and the watch lost a minute every 2-3 days.I finally sent it to the Zenith repair when the strap also broke.They wanted $650 to service the watch and $680 to replace the strap.Based on this outrageous cost to maintain a fairly new watch, I could not recommend the brand.

(More customer reviews)I purchased one of these watches for my mother five years ago from an authorized retailer.She wore it only on very special occasions, perhaps a total of 50 hours of combined wear over three years.Then the cheap thing disintegrated.The back of the case fell off and the movement stopped entirely.I mailed the watch into the authorized Longines repair facility, only to be informed that it required over $400 in repairs!I sent an angry letter, and received a belated and patronizing response which informed me that $100 of the repairs were cosmetic, and that I could rejuvenate the watch for the bargain price of $300.As though I would waste any more money on this cheap piece of tin.

Longines is a dinosaur of a company that relies on its previous sterling reputation to keep selling watches of increasingly inferior quality.They couple this poor workmanship with one of the most limited warranties in the luxury timepiece industry.That take-no-prisoners warranty itself should have warned me off this watch when I bought it.

I am out a lot of money.Save your own and go with a better company.

This timepiece is elegant and understated.Those in the know will stop you and give you a thumbs up.I've had many compliments and it wears well with either Levi's or a Tux.If you don't run with the pack and want to distinguish yourself from the wanna be crowd.This is the one for you.The automatic feature works well, but invest in a good winder.The rose gold is stunning, but I must polish the black band frequently or it will show minor wear and detract from the watch itself.The back is open and is actually a very attractive feature.Pictures just don't do it justice.At this price point, you just can't beat it... I know it sounds nuts, but this is a Good Value for the money...Go for it and you won't look back.

(More customer reviews)I had my eye on this watch for a while, and it looks just as good in person as it does in the pictures.Zenith is a hugely underrated brand, and this watch is gorgeous. It features the El Primero movement, which is of historical significance, and was used by Rolex in the Daytona line for many years.

The build quality is top-notch, particularly the stainless steel band, which is quite the most precisely made band I've ever seen.

The only criticisms I have are:

1) The hour and minute hand do tend to blend into the background, and it's not as easy to read the time as other watches (I also have an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, which is highly legible).
2)There's no Luminox coating, so you can't read it in the dark.

Both of these are consistent with this being a bit more of a dress watch, so I'm less concerned with thee practicalities as I would be with a diver's watch.Other than that, it's just a stunningly beautiful piece.

One thing to add, as it's not obvious from the pictures, is that there is a second hand for this watch.The cut out in the face that reveals the escapement (which is entrancing to watch in action, by the way) is essentially three overlapping circles.The lowest of these has a tiny set of markings on the lower third (i.e. 20 seconds' worth), and there's a tiny second hand (actually it's 3 separate hands at 120-degree angles to each other, so that when one has reached the 20-second mark on the sub-dial, the next one sweeps in to take over).Very cool.

(More customer reviews)I bought a Breitling 4 years ago and had so many problems with it since then. I am not used to taking my watch off my wrist even when I take shower. I have 2 other watches, one Rolex and one Omega and never had problems taking bath or getting into the water with them, but with Breitling I had. It was about 2 months after I bought it, the damn thing formed moisture inside it, kind of the air condensate inside , probably from me getting into a hot bathtub wearing it, so I took the watch to the dealer and they said that Breitling didn't offer any warranty in the case that water, humidity gets or moisture/condensate forms inside the watch.(It was supposed to be water proof). So I had to pay US$900 to have a repair service and cleaning done on the thing. Then within one week after getting the watch back, one screw of the bezel fell off so I took the watch back for repair and again they told me that there was no warranty for that because the place where the screw goes was damaged due to over torque on the screw and that it would cost me about US$400, or even more depending, to have it repaired, so I just gave up repairing it again. Next day I took the watch to another watch repair store, and to add insult to injury, the clerk at the store told me that who ever did the repair on the watch before had over tightened the screw and by doing so had damaged not only the screw but the hole and then to cover the mistake they had put superglue in the hole and placed the screw back. (Isn't it a kind of thing that would piss someone off?)
WHAT A SH.T service.

I am very disappointed and I am sure to let everyone knows about it.
I have had my Rolex for about 10 years and my Omega for 6 and never had a major problem with them.
The only time I had a problem with my Rolex was when the wristband didn't want to lock properly so I took it for repair and they repaired it in 24 hours NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

I'll give it one star because there is nothing worse to give in here.
